Dawson Prize in Genetics Awarded to Pioneering Plant Biologist

Finn Keyes | Current Affairs Editor Wednesday December 4th saw one of the world’s pre-eminent plant biologists, Dr Elliot Meyerowitz receive the George Dawson award in genetics for his great contribution to our understanding of how plants develop and grow. He was presented with the prize by Mani Ramaswami, Professor of Neurogenetics here in Trinity, who lauded Dr Meyerowitz as being “among the world’s most influential geneticists and plant biologists”.
