Hannah Ryan | News Editor Trinity College Dublin Students’ Union (TCDSU) yesterday passed a motion for College’s House 6 to be re-named “Mandela House”, following the death last Friday of world-renowned civil rights activist and former President of the Republic of South Africa, Nelson Mandela. The motion, proposed by Junior Sophister student Fiachra O’Raghallaigh and seconded by TCDSU Education Officer Jack Leahy, arose from the fact that Trinity College was among the list of organisations which Mandela publicly thanked following his release from prison.
