Student Slingshot Planning International Partnership

Student Slingshot Berlin 2015 will take place next summer.

The University Times has learned this evening that Student Slingshot, the student entrepreneurial event, is planning to launch an international partnership in association with Freie Univeritat Berlin, resulting in Student Slingshot Berlin 2015. The international Student Slingshot, which will take place sometime next summer, is open for applications now, and is sponsored by one of the select partners of the event.

The event itself, which will take place in Georges’ Hall in Dublin Castle tomorrow night, will feature over thirty Trinity students, and up to one hundred and fifty students from fifteen different third level institutions from around the country, who will be offered the chance to interact with over forty industry leaders, entrepreneurs and innovator. These include Senator Katherine Zappone, Niall Harbison the founder of Lovin’ Dublin, and Niall McGarry, founder of JOE.ie and Her.ie, as well as speakers from Google, Foodcloud, Delta and GOAL.

Speaking exclusively to The University Times, Paddy Guiney, founder of Student Slingshot, and formerly the Vice President for Campaigns for the Union of Students in Ireland, stated that “tomorrow is sure to be an entertaining evening, and we’re looking forward to bringing Irish and German students together in the future.”
