The stabbing took place in the Aparto Binary Hub, a luxury student accommodation complex located at Roe’s Lane, Bonham St. When it opened in September 2016, it was Dublin’s largest purpose-built student accommodation development.

RTE this morning reported that others staying in the complex could hear screaming and yelling. One said he saw “a bit of blood on the floor” as he left the building today.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses or to anyone with information to come forward.

Binary Hub is listed on the accommodation section of Trinity’s website, with rooms advertised from €250 per week.
