RHA X: Roland Mouret x Dragana Jurišić is the first event of its kind at the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA). The exhibition will showcase the collaboration of world-renowned fashion designer Roland Mouret and award-winning visual artist Dragana Jurišić.

Mouret is one of the best-loved names in British fashion and is known for presenting his collections in groundbreaking and unique ways. This interactive installation marks Mouret’s first time using his “creative mind purely as a creative and not a fashion designer”. It will be interesting to see how this influences the collaboration between the two artists.

Dragana Jurišić promises to bring her vast photographic and writing experience to RHA X. Her work is provocative, complex and thoughtful. The artist is best known for documenting her native Yugoslavia and dealing with sensitive issues including war, poverty and immigration. Jurišić was recently shortlisted for the Zurich Portrait Prize at the National Gallery of Ireland.

At RHA X, the audience is invited to enter a unique space. The exhibition is designed to create a space of intersection, in which a variety of constructs, both social and artistic, overlap to create an individual, inimitable experience. Performance artists will be interacting with the public throughout the weekend.

A questions and answers session featuring both artists will take place in the RHA on November 16th at 2pm. The panel will be hosted by Oriole Cullen, curator of the recent Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Tickets for this panel event are €10 and are available on Eventbrite.

The installation is billed as a “ground-breaking international art and fashion experience”. No further details are given about what to expect, but with the combined multidisciplinary artistic talents of Mouret and Jurišić, the exhibition is definitely a must-see.

Be sure to visit the RHA to see what exactly the collaboration involves, what the experience entails, and how successful it is in bringing the art and fashion communities together. RHA X is open to the public on Saturday, November 16th, from 11am to 5pm, and Sunday, November 17th, from 12pm to 5pm. Admission is free.
