Patrick O’Laoghaire’s captivating and intriguing sound is one sure to make for a change in direction in today’s Irish folk-pop scene, and after spending months touring with Anna Calvi and Villagers, as well as working on a debut EP with Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi) and Conor O’ Brien (Villagers), I Have A Tribe is one act that would be a travesty not to catch in an intimate atmosphere while you can.

Jetsetter

Saturday
9:20-9:50
Bad Bob’s

Playing smooth Beach Rock that recalls the music of Real Estate, The Byrds and The Strokes, Jetsetter are, quite simply, one of the most refreshingly original bands knocking about Dublin at the moment. A must see.

Cloud Castle Lake

Saturday
10:00-10:30
The Button Factory

Playing eclectic and ethereal jazzy alt-rock, Cloud Castle Lake are a band that are not to be missed, featuring a male falsetto vocal that leaves the listener mesmerised when they think they’ve heard it all from this now almost clichéd approach in Pop music.

Meltybrains?

Saturday
10:40-11:10
The Workman’s Club

Little can be said of exactly what it is that Meltybrains? does. Words are often insufficient in attempting to describe their music. Put simply, in a world in which pastiche after pastiche appears every year, Meltybrains? is a band unlike any other, providing a live show that is set to enthral and astound the audience.

Spies

Saturday
11:20-11:50
Bad Bob’s

Having only just been on the road with an Ireland and UK mini-tour, as well as enjoying a great deal of widespread critical acclaim for their latest single ‘Moosehead’, this already well-established Dublin-based Indie Rock quintet are an act not to be missed, and bound to end the weekend on an energising and memorable note.
