Basement Jaxx are an EDM duo hailing from London. After the release of their debut album Remedy in 1999, they shot to fame, and have released 7 studio albums since. Following the recent release of their album Junto last year, they shall be headlining the Ball this coming April. Second headliner, Walking on Cars, a more homegrown talent from Dingle co. Kerry, will be brining their more pop/rock sound to the ball. Having released just a single and two EP’s, they are expected to release their debut studio album in the coming year.

Years and Years are a 3-piece Electronica band from London. Following in the footsteps of acts from previous years, they won the BBC Sound of 2015 award, as well as being nominated for the Critics Choice at the BRIT awards 2015. Some may also recognize lead singer Olly Alexander from his performances in Penny Dreadful and Skins.

British 2-piece The 2 Bears have been making genre-defying music since 2009, but with a former Hot Chip member in the line-up, they are no strangers to extravagant and interesting performances. Having airtime support from numerous UK DJ’s this year, they will be a prominent and welcome addition to this year’s line-up.

No stranger to Trinity performances, and having set the ball alight last year, Le Galaxie will be returning this year with their mixture of electro and dance music. Eight-piece Booka Brass Band will also be showcasing their unique jazzy sound at the Ball this year, having performed at various society events this year, and following a stunning performance at Electric Picnic alongside James Vincent McMorrow.

Fans of EDM will be happy with the inclusion of Kidnap Kid, Krystal Klear and LXURY, producers who have been making a name for themselves in recent years with their own brand of dance music.

Bringing a more soothing sound to the lineup is Wyvern Lingo, mixing their folky R’n’B into the predominantly electronic line-up. Irish performer Ryan Sheridan will also help mellow the mood. Having recently recorded a song for the Mrs Brown movie, this singer-songwriter will fill the shoes of similar acoustic artists from previous years such as Ellie Goulding and Nina Nesbitt. Kormac’s Big Band shall also be bringing their modern twist on classic big band jazz acts to the Ball.

Also performing this year are live dance music band Electrodecks and chilled out rock-pop act Havar, whose sound is reminiscient of a mix between Trinity-grown Hozier and Imagine Dragons. Finally, semi-acoustic pop/rock quintet Lunar complete the line-up announced so far, with a few more acts to be announced soon.
